I just found this image, really interesting. Is this sort of research right? Is it really worth putting animals through such stress just for these trivial experiments?

After a bit of background reading, I found that a gene from a jellyfish was inserted into the pig's DNA which produces the glow in the dark protein.

  1. I've seen the same done to cats as well. Kind of pointless but I guess you wouldn't trip over it in the middle of the night.

  5. It's not fake, I think some people won a Nobel Prize for it in 2006, only it was in rabbits, not sure though.
