I just found this image, really interesting. Is this sort of research right? Is it really worth putting animals through such stress just for these trivial experiments?

After a bit of background reading, I found that a gene from a jellyfish was inserted into the pig's DNA which produces the glow in the dark protein.

  1. I've seen the same done to cats as well. Kind of pointless but I guess you wouldn't trip over it in the middle of the night.

  2. Pointless? Maybe, damn cool nonetheless.
Amazing that we can manipulate genes to out own advantage.

  3. Yeah, maybe it's not pointless, you could claim that going to the moon was pointless, what did that achieve?

  4. Probably fake.

PS. Turn off capcha, it's frightening!

  5. It's not fake, I think some people won a Nobel Prize for it in 2006, only it was in rabbits, not sure though.

What's capcha? Sorry, I'm new here.

    1. Typo. I mean captcha.
